The following crime information is provided for the SHNA Board ONLY since we don’t want to interfere with police investigations.
1) There is the smell of methamphetamine being manufactured at Casa La Paz Apartments in the 1700 block of Silver. Several people have noticed it at different times of the day. The police have been notified.
2) At 1920 Gold there are drugs being sold out of the alley. The police have been notified.
We all need to notify the police if we notice any illegal activities at these or other locations.

Zoning Committee Report – Bill Cobb & Gordon Reiselt
PLEASE help me with this…The Zoning Department requested the owner of XXXX Lead prove he has the approval for the extra units or remove them. It appears he is removing them. The owner on 210 Sycamore has reduced to 3 units and is selling for $267K to $299K.
Lead/Coal Task Force Report – Bill Cobb
The task force has issued a final report that contains both a one-way option and a two-way option. Mayor Chavez has approved $3,000,000 for design work and the City will be going out for an RFP for this work.
Design Regulation Task Force Report – Rich Braziel
The task force is taking longer than initially anticipated and so they are seeking additional funding for the consultants who are working with the Design Review Task Force.
Gold Street Celebration – Looking for an individual to take the lead
The SHNA is looking for someone to lead the effort to have a Gold Street tree celebration and parking permit party in late August 2007.
Proposed Zoning Changes
Isaac Benton has proposed some zoning changes that would change the definition of "Exceptionality" thereby making it easy for anyone to get a variance for anything at anytime. This change to the zoning ordinance would be extremely difficult to interpret and to adjudicate. While we would all like there to be no zoning for us, most of us do want our neighbors to live by the existing zoning. The City Planning Department and others are objecting and providing written documentation. The SHNA will also write a opposing this change in the zoning. Attached you will find:
